Black Magic Bath Bomb

Bath bombs have skyrocketed in popularity lately with thousands of options available (though id only recommend natural options like these). Kids and adults love them and while they can cost up to $10 each to buy, you can make a whole batch for just a couple dollars!

If you spook easily, take caution – this ‘black magic bath bomb’ is not for the faint of heart! When you drop it in the tub, it instantly turns your bathwater black as night! Perfect for bringing some terrifying Halloween creepiness to bath time, at least for the more adventurous among us.

Fortunately, it’s easy and fun to make, and it only takes 5-10 minutes to prepare. You’ll need to pick up a few special ingredients for this one, but nothing too hard to find.

This is definitely not your everyday bath bomb!

Materials:

  • 1 cup baking soda

  • 1/2 cup citric acid

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup Epson salt

  • 12 capsules of activated charcoal powder

  • 6 teaspoons castor oil

  • 2 teaspoon essential oil

  • 2 teaspoon water

  • 1 tsp black gel food coloring

Directions

First, mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

Then pour all the wet ingredients (except the black food coloring) together in a spray bottle and shake well to mix.

Spray the dry ingredients to combine. Tip: spray slowly and sparingly as you add the wet ingredients to the mix. Too much and your bath bomb will be a soggy mess. It should be the consistency of a damp sand.

Press your damp mixture into a mold. Once the bomb has set, toss it in your tub, and add some scare to bath time.
