Prevent Dry Lips This Fall With This DIY Tinted EOS Lip Balm

This winter has been a tough one, I still forget my coat every time I walk out of my house. Probably because I’m still not used to the fact that it’s FREEZING! Oh, and dont even get me started on my skin.

My skin isn’t used to the weather either, I suffer from extremely dry skin and when its cold it gets worse. Along with chapt lips, so for any beauty gurus out there, we have this DIY for especially cute lips that need a pick me up.

Materials needed:

  • 1 tsp beeswax

  • 1/4 tsp coconut oil

  • 1/4 tsp shea butter

  • 1/4 tsp jojoba oil

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Piece of lipstick for color (optional)

  • Empty EOS container

Directions:

Place a heat-safe bowl over a saucepan with a bit of water in it (double-boiler) at a medium heat.

Then begin adding the beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba oil and olive oil into the bowl.

As it begins to melt into a creamy paste, add a little piece of lipstick to the mixture and stir it in.

Once you are satisfied with the color and scent of your balm, pour it into the top of your EOS container and a little bit in the bottom.

Close the container with and let it sit for five minutes at room temperature and then freeze for ten minutes.

Pop the hardened balm out of the top of the lid gently.

Use a lighter to heat the wax up just a little bit so you will be able to secure it into the base.

Now that it is secure, you are all set to hydrate those lips!
