Need ideas to keep those pesky bugs away? Get rid of annoying insects with this easy-to-make trap! Grab a soda bottle, brown sugar, yeast and you’re ready to go! When you set out traps, remember that location can be key! A great place for these traps is along the periphery of your backyard, or the area where a garden or shrubbery meets the grass.

Materials

• Plastic soda bottle

• Scissors

• Tape

• 1 cup hot water

• 1/4 cup brown sugar

• 1 envelope active dry yeast

Directions

1. Cut the top off your soda bottle and remove the screw-on cap from the opening.

2. Place the brown sugar, yeast, and water inside the bottom part of the soda bottle. Stir.

3. Take the top part (that you cut off) and flip it over so it’s like a funnel. Place inside the bottom part of the bottle and tape around the edges to secure.
