Dogs are not just pets, they are family members. Our relationships with them are entirely meaningful and special. They are not replaceable. They love us unconditionally and leave us feeling accepted and wanted. Sometimes we like them more than the humans in our lives.
This is Molly, a sweet little beagle living in Roanoke Virginia. Her owner had been dating his girlfriend for 4 years. But when they decided to begin living together, the girlfriend gave Molly’s owner an ultimatum.
Molly, or her. One of them had to go.
So, facing the tough decision, Molly’s owner came up with a brilliant solution. Craigslist!
Her owner posted a listing entitled “Free to any willing home” on the Roanoke Virginia Craigslist page.
His advertisement went like this:
MY girlfriend does not like my beagle molly. SO i have to rehome her. She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!
So. . .. . …anyone interested in my 30 year old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her rehomed ASAP!!
The moral of the story is: don’t get between a beagle and her owner.
