Grandfather hands stranger’s toddler $20 bill in Target for most tragic reason

When Alyssa Hacker noticed a stranger talking to her friendly young son while they shopped at Target, she was at first slightly taken aback.

The Oklahoma mom had brought her son to the Fort Smith Target store for a bit of shopping and to meet up with his grandmother, when the gentleman approached her son.

She wrote on Facebook, “We were at target waiting on Grammi and we found some dinosaurs. Owen grabbed all 3 and we were trying to pick out which one he wanted when Owen abruptly yelled ‘HI’ at this older man walking past us.”

The man then took out a $20 bill and gave it to Owen and told her “‘I just lost my 2 year old grandson last week. You take this money and buy this boy all three dinosaurs’.”

Alyssa was overcome with emotion, and both she and the man ended up in tears. Undoubtedly the stranger saw memories of joy with his own grandson in Alyssa’s boy. Its wonderful to read about these touching moments of kindness from strangers, isn’t it?
