As 5-year-old Ruby began her wrestling match, her even younger brother watched in confusion. The youngster apparently thought his sister was involved in a real fight, and with less than 5 seconds on the clock ran to her rescue. The kid grabbed his sister’s opponent (Ryan) and tried to drag him away before the referee broke up the unexpected intrusion.
Ryan’s mother, Tori Prendergast, shared this cute video taken by her husband that evening on Facebook and it’s now going viral.
“I was working and missed the match, but when I got home he showed me the video and I knew we had to share it,” Tori explained.
“It was so cute. The whole place was cracking up when it happened,” she added. “I only have boys, but if I had a daughter, I hope they would protect their sister like that.”
