21-Year-Old Son Shocks Parents By Using His First Paycheck To Pay Off Their Entire Mortgage For Christmas

A Newly signed prospect of the Arizona Diamondbacks shocks the internet by paying his parents’ Mortgage with his first paycheck for Christmas. He was the seventh overall draft pick in this year’s baseball draft and has signed to the Diamondbacks and was given a hefty 5 million bonus.

Nowadays when young athletes get big checks they spend it on Luxurious homes, cars or just repeated nights out of drinking expensive bottles of Champagne, but not Pavin Smith. Instead, he decided to do something a little more selfless and paid his parent’s entire mortgage!

He surprised his parents with just a letter explaining that their Christmas present was the mortgage payment and recorded their reaction, this touching video went viral on Twitter.

Pavin wrote: “Thank you for raising me in a great home filled with love. Because of all the sacrifices you made to get me where I am, I want our family home to be yours.”

Despite the magnitude of this present, Pavin says it doesn’t even begin to make up for all that his parents have given him. I have to say I agree — if I could pay off my parents’ mortgage, I’m sure I would.

This is going to be one hard Christmas gift to follow! I have to wonder what Pavin will do for his family next year.

Check out the video below to see the moment Pavin’s mom and dad realize what he’s done.
