Give Your Hands an at Home Spa Treatment with These 2-In-1 Loofah Soaps!

I just love when I discover a new health and/or beauty product that I can make at home for less money and that works better than the store-bought stuff! I’ve made a LOT of them already, but this loofah soap DIY really has me excited! It just makes so much sense!

Skip a two-step process of exfoliating your skin and then cleaning it, and try using these 2-in-1 loofah soaps instead! Your hands will be left feeling silky soft and smelling of soothing lavender and honey scents.

Materials Needed

  • 12 ounces meltable white soap

  • 6″ loofah

  • round silicone molds

  • tray or baking sheet

  • serrated knife

  • cutting board

  • spoon or tongs

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • lavender essential oil

  • dried lavender

Directions

Measure the depth of the mold with the loofah, and slice off discs that are equal to the depth of the mold.

Melt the white soap in the microwave in 15 to 30-second intervals, stirring each time.

Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey and as much lavender essential oil as you’d like.

Place loofah discs into the mixture and stir so that they absorb as much soap as possible. Let them sit for a minute or two to absorb soap.

Place soapy loofah piece into each mold.

Add dried lavender into soap mix

Pour mixture over the loofah in each mold.

Weigh down the mold with your cutting board.

Let harden completely (4 hours) and remove the mold.

Trim any excess soap along the edges with your knife.
