Transform Old Milk Jugs Into Halloween Monsters!

October is here and Halloween is around the corner, and we kicked it off with one of my favorite Halloween crafts. I have a soft spot for crafts using upcycled materials, and I prefer projects that are open-ended with plenty of room for creativity. These Milk Jug Monsters are fun to make with your kids and won’t cost you a fortune! You can place them outside for spooky decor, or even have your little ones carry them on Halloween so you can easily spot them in the dark.

Materials

  • Empty plastic gallon jug

  • Green glow sticks (1-2)

  • Black felt

  • Black Sharpie

  • Glue

  • Scissors

Directions

  1. Cut out your monster’s hair, pupils and eyebrows using the black felt. Glue the pieces of felt to your jug.

  2. Use your Sharpie to draw your monster’s features (eyes, scars, nose, mouth, etc.).

  3. Stick some green glow sticks in the jug and your monster is ready to scare this Halloween!
